The 2026 mainline is wrapping up with Case Q, and the first 2027 case has already been opened. Case A unboxings started going up in mid-September 2026, so we now know the first Super Treasure Hunt, the first Treasure Hunt and most of what's coming. Case B has been revealed too, along with Super Treasure Hunts through Case F. Here's what we know.
The 2027 Case A Super Treasure Hunt: '64 Lincoln Continental
The first Super Treasure Hunt of 2027 is the '64 Lincoln Continental, designed by Jun Imai. Collectors have expected it since July. The STH has Spectraflame Purple paint and whitewall Real Riders tires. It's car #1 in the new Best in Class mini collection.

Case A also has a regular purple Lincoln, so check the paint and tires before you get excited. The STH paint has a deep metallic shine and the tires are rubber. The regular car has flat paint and plastic wheels. Not sure what to look for? Read how to spot a Super Treasure Hunt.
Early sales put loose examples around $40 and carded ones well over $100, but prices usually drop once the case is widely on shelves.
The 2027 Case A Treasure Hunt: El Segundo Coupe
The first regular Treasure Hunt is the El Segundo Coupe in yellow, from the HW Hall of Famers mini collection. The Celero GT is the other car in that series. Like every regular Treasure Hunt, it has a silver flame logo behind the car on the card and a low-production symbol on the car.
Fan-Voted Cars: The McLaren F1 and Porsche 911 GT3 RS
In fall 2025, Mattel ran five fan polls on its Mattel Creations forums, each one pairing two cars from the same brand. Two of the winners are already in Case A, in a series called HW Fan Driven:
- McLaren F1 in blue, #1 in the series, picked over the McLaren 720S
- Porsche 911 GT3 RS in teal, #2 in the series, picked over the Porsche 934 Turbo RSR
The other three polls were '70 Dodge Charger R/T vs. SRT Viper GTS-R, '09 Corvette ZR1 vs. '17 Camaro ZL1, and Mazda RX-3 vs. '95 Mazda RX-7 Drift. Their winners will likely fill out the rest of HW Fan Driven in later cases.
New Castings in Case A
Most of Case A is new colors on existing cars, as usual for the first case of a year. The ones getting the most attention:
- Ferrari 308 GTS in red, a First Edition and probably the most-wanted car in the case
- Ultra Turbofire in red, a new X-Raycers design based on a 1969 original
- Mercedes-Benz CLA, a First Edition seen in the unboxing but not on every case list yet

Case B Is Already Out Too
Case B was revealed at the end of September. Its Super Treasure Hunt is the BMW M4 GT3 in blue, on different wheels than the 2026 release. The regular Treasure Hunt is the High-Tail Chaser, which first came out in the 2026 HW Mods series.
Other Case B cars to look for: the Honda RA272 F1 car, a Volkswagen Golf MK1 GTI, the Polski Fiat 126P, a '69 Ford Mustang Boss 302, a Cadillac CTS-V and a ZAMAC Grand Sport Roadster in the new Throwback Cruisers series.
Every 2027 Super Treasure Hunt Revealed So Far
Six 2027 Super Treasure Hunts are already known, through Case F. Each one has Spectraflame paint and Real Riders tires:
- Case A: '64 Lincoln Continental, Spectraflame Purple
- Case B: BMW M4 GT3, Spectraflame Blue
- Case C: '87 Dodge D100, Spectraflame Green with a mud-splattered "Dodge 87" livery
- Case D: '88 Mitsubishi Starion, Spectraflame Blue with black and white stripes
- Case E: Aston Martin DB5 Safari Edition, Spectraflame Green with twin yellow stripes
- Case F: Ferrari 12Cilindri, Spectraflame Yellow with Ferrari emblems

When Will 2027 Hot Wheels Be in Stores?
Mattel hasn't given dates for the 2027 mainline. In past years, Case A reached US stores in late December or early January, and the next cases followed every few weeks. Expect the same for 2027. Until then, Case P and Case Q from 2026 are still on the pegs, so see our Case Q guide and the 2026 Super Treasure Hunt list if you're still finishing last year's set.
Tips for Hunting the First 2027 Case
- Learn the Lincoln before you go. A purple Lincoln on the peg isn't always the STH. Check for rubber tires and Spectraflame paint before you buy.
- Big stores aren't the only option. Grocery and drugstore chains often get new cases at different times than Walmart and Target.
- Watch for 2026 and 2027 together on the pegs. Stores often mix the last 2026 cases with the first 2027 ones, so check the year on the card.
- Make a wishlist now. With more than 25 cars, two chase cars and a handful of new castings in one case, it's easy to lose track of what you're still looking for.
